A Truly Special Town

Welcome to Welcome to Durbin WV! Incorporated in 1906 , named after Charles R Durbin a local bank official. 

At that time Durbin was a bustling timber town. The need to move the timber lead to the construction of the Chesapeake and Ohio railroad in the beginning of the 1900's. In 1997 it begin as the Durbin Greenbrier Valley Railroad. DGVR has been the towns biggest attraction, bring tourists from all over the world. 
A flourishing Town nestled in the Monongahela National Forest, there is much to see and do for both residents and visitors alike. Indulge in a delicious meal at one of the local eateries, take a stroll along one of the many trails and streams or enjoy one of the many cultural attractions. There is something for everyone.
